Sandown MEX 2014 photos
« on: December 12, 2014, 04:23:12 PM »
Just got back from Sandown an hour or so ago, not a bad show both for models and trade despite the list of traders being quite short ( I think there were more than listed) I managed to get all I wanted with the exception of two lengths of bar.

In no Particular order

Selection of one of our member engines which Jo will have to go some to equal

Two nice large scale engines that were both scratch built with only the 9-10" flywheels being castings

One of these very common engines which a few here seem to like ;)

A well made version Anthony Mounts designed "Benjamin Goodfellow Overcrank Engine 1851"

Stuart Major Beam

A couple of IC engines, the Wittle V8 was very well done

To be continued

2" Burrell showmans engine

A few of the fantasticly done small car models

Selection of Locos for those that like going round in circles

Four models by Neil Wyatt, editor of Model Engineers Workshop mag

More to come

Two Bolton & Watt Bell crank engines which is the same model Jo has just started to document the build of

These next few engines in cases were all for sale, there are another 6-8 also for sale.

I also saw this and thought Jo could do with it so she has something to mount all her little engines in :embarassed:

There was a very nice scratch built double diagonal last year (red one in the background) and the same chap is well on the way with a second one. The lettering wass all done by hand no CNC.

And a short video of it running, this is the speed I like to see an engine ticking over at.

And to round off the day this lot seems to have followed me home

Hope you enjoy them, J

Hi Jason, thanks for taking the time and sharing all these pictures and the video with us. I appreciate it very much if I can get an idea about the model shows in different places of the world.
Kind Regards
