Proper English usage says that, since it's a book title, it should be Italicized, e.g.

Cherry Hill's Model Engines

then there would be no confusion.

Aside:  If working in a medium (e.g. typewriter) where an Italic font is unavailable, it's permissible to surround the title with double quote marks.

Probably more than you wanted to know, but I keep trying to improve the use of the language.  I'm hoping to get a job pushing a big rock up a hill.

Zee...if Marv's prediction is correct, and it well could be...your kids won't even have to worry about their inheritance...they can sell the book on ebay for a small fortune, so as I see it you're just making a wise investment  :mischief:

That's good news that it was so well received. Any idea how large the first printing was?

I Finally received my copy of Cherry's Model Engines today and at first glance it's a superb book, well worth the price paid.
With the exception of a few closeups, which could have had more focus and depth of field, the photos and color are excellent
and nicely balanced with text.  My first thought after my initial scanning through was . ."I won't be surprised if there's a Vol.ll."

I'll start in on the text later tonight and I'll be curious to see what level it's been written to.   To a very high level, one would hope,
as the buyers of this book shouldn't need to have the hammer explained to them.

Have you all noticed it was printed in China?

Thats one of the reasons you were able to say "its well worth the cost"  ;)

I'm sure that if it were printed in the UK it would have cost considerably more.

Interesting Marv...and one seller "SKYBOK" lists a used one for $262 and change while he lists a new one at $122 and change...what's up with that??  I would be surprised if they are actually getting that for them yet. I would think the publisher would go for a second printing if its moving that fast so far. Just happy I got my copy at the original Amazon price.

Amazon may be out of stock, but Book Depository still has stock, just ordered a copy.

There is a second print run being done at the moment. See david's (Edspin) post above so don't waste your money on an overpriced one.

Thanks for the Book Depository link. I've had it on order with Amazon since December and they have no projected ship date. Cancelled that one.
Maybe I shouldn't have cancelled. This could become another "Elmer's Engines" at outrageous eBay prices.
Best,
Stan
