I get it. Much as Edsel Ford or DeLorean, the design and concept are great, it's the end product that must be well received by the masses.

Hi Marv, may I offer some pictures of the full scale Alban. Made by myself  at the "Deutsches Museum" in Munich.

I haven't been able to get on the forum much lately. So a big surprise to see a reference to the 'Deutsches Museum'  and I had to comment.
I spent several summers as a kid in Munich and went to the museum several times. I've no doubt it influenced my interest greatly.
I've since had the opportunity to revisit a couple of times.

While there may be better museums...nothing beats a kid's memories.

Why does the name 'Mrs. Robinson' come to mind? ;D

Beautiful model. Thanks for posting.

Sorry to get your name wrong Marv  :-[; must try harder! The supposed advantages of the design are given it the book I mentioned. I do not have it to hand, so I am unable to give you any examples at the moment; however I do know that the chap who translated it into English, gently demolished Dr.Albans arguments in footnotes throughout the book. I'm not saying who was right, but it makes interesting reading.
