New member Midlands UK
« on: October 17, 2014, 10:55:34 AM »
Hi All. Interested in model IC engines usually reconditioning model aircraft diesel engines but trying to make some multi cylinder ones now, usual small workshop with lathe/small mill etc. Camshafts seem the Achilles heel  :facepalm:so trying to make a grinder.
Cheers

 :hi: Gary,

Model Aircraft Diesel engines  :naughty: I have just picked up my first set of castings for one of those: a Novo. Thankfully it does not have a cam  ;)

Thanks Ramon. In awe of what you do, read all the articles from the magazines, had the originals + Olivers/PAW when I was a kid but afraid I don't have the skill to make something similar now. New liners/pistons/contra pistons (always have trouble with those) for usually AM engines across the range, they're cheap to pick up. Now trying to make a twin from a Hemingway kit which led me to a cam grinder???? thought it would be useful if I went for the Sealion later on.
Regards
GW
