Midlands Show 2014
« on: October 07, 2014, 10:37:52 AM »
I was just wondering if anyone was planning on going to the Midlands show at the end of next week.

This year I am being taken  ;D on thursday (16th). My plan is as normal to buy all the desirable cheap/desirable/orphaned casting sets  :naughty:

I am hoping to go on Friday, so sadly I shall not be able to put a face to the names.

My best regards

I'm planning to go on Thursday.

I'm hoping against hope that I might find some Cowells bits for M14x 1.5 spindle, such as collet chuck or even some collets for the Cowells mill.  Very very  long shot I know.  Of course Jo could always put some of the of spares she holds onto the market. :lolb:

I to will be there on Thurs, would it be an idea to name a time and place to meet up, like 1pm at the entrance and make a sticker with MEM on it so we will know who is who?

It's great that your mania is for castings rather than cats.   :Jester:

Now that Sexy has gained a new dividing head I might be able to be talked out of my spare Collet chuck and metric/imperial collets for casting tokens  :mischief:

Looks like you've sold them then :cartwheel:

Though I suppose I should check how many casting tokens you require :)

I'm still waiting for mine, should be here tomorrow. Won't get much time there though - our coach leaves at eight arrives twelve and leaves at four but looking forwards to meeting up again.

I'm up for buying some bits for the new mill   ;)

It's been some years ago, the last time around 1999 at Donington Park, but I've been to a couple of Midlands shows and enjoyed them both very much.  It looks like there's a bumper crop of traders this year.
Cheers,
Harry

A few more plans: I hope to be first in the cue on Thursday at 10 am  :naughty:

If I don't bump into you before hand I will be sitting in the canteen area having lunch just before 12, so please come an join me.

Tug: I assume that you will want to do at least a first round of the show before we sit down for a chin wag over coffee so how is 2pm in the Canteen area?

I will have to think of something noticeable to wear as this year I am not planning on buying 1/2 ton of castings ;)
