thaks all for comments :)

yes the smoke was gone as thet temperature rised which is great as I was unhappy with the excessive smoking

the evening before I start it up outside, I gave it a try in the workshop and this is what it looked like after 10 seconds  :o

I gave it a try in the workshop and this is what it looked like after 10 seconds  :o

 :o That is very dangerous.

The carbon monoxide builds up very quickly: it will first make you feel drowsy then suffocate you  :(

We lost one of our guys many years ago in the time it took his mate to go and make a cuppa for the two of them  :-[

indeed, CO and and some workshop fumes are dangerous and unhealthy in general.

Sorry I missed your thread earlier, then was busy and didn't get around to reading it. Good build, you have some clever touches like the angled roller rockers. Runs great, has sort of an agricultural tone to it, good job.
