Well I picked up and installed the 10 x 22 Craftex CX706,(same as a Warco 250). The workshop is now a workable area. Added a table also, the side bench is a bit full now with the little lathe using up the end.

Nice cozy shop Pat!

I like the table out in the middle so you can work all around on it; I would like to have something like that but my machinery shares space with the vehicles so room can be an issue. I do have plans to make a steel welding table that will roll under one of my other benches. That way It can be rolled out to the center of the garage for use.

Glad to see that you got the new lathe. I will be interested in hearing how you like it as I am thinking of getting one myself.

The shop is coming along fine.

I fitted a QC toolpost to the lathe, it was kept over from the Hercus I had previously. Not too much drama fitting it. The lathe seems to work OK at first running. A lot quieter than the Hercus! I am intending to make an adjustable carriage stop with a dial indicator built in, and mount a DRO onto the cross slide.
I have a milling attachment for the cross slide also.
The face plate is a bit ratty on the backside ! see pic.
It looks good on the face.
I wish the Chinese manufacturers would supply soft jaw chucks with these lathes!!or even make them available.

Just as a piece of info, the pic of the workshop was taken with the "panorama" setting on the iPhone 6 camera. The wavy and arched floor joists are due to my shaky holding and panning.
The pics from this phone are way and beyond the 4 I had.
