Many thanks!

The crosshead was (very, very) slow work, starting with a drilled piece of gauge plate, I initially planned to do most of the work in a lathe.

The novelty of this, together with an unused mill led to some cheating. lol

Followed my much waving of needle files and emery paper - this was one part I was very glad to see the back of  :wallbang:

Well finally there's some more progress on this one, hopefully with the goal of getting it to the MEX at Sandown Park in December. I'm laying the blame for the delay firmly at Dennis's door as he keeps sending distracting compound engine castings to lead me astray  :naughty:

A 'few' more hours of finger numbing work with emery has seen the drive pulley finished and fitted - not permanently yet as I've had a senior moment on the keyway alignment which needs correcting, but in general I'm very happy with it.

So next on the list will have to be getting a bundle of square headed bolts finished, fitting the governor valve, and engraving the side panels...

Thank you all very, very much! So is anyone heading to MEX? I missed the Guildford meet, stupidly, but I'm well up for putting names to faces and talking engineering :D

I'll be there and looking forward to seeing the engine in the flesh.

The engines more pleasant than the face, that's for sure :D I'll be looking forward to a chat.
