My Workshop
« on: May 18, 2014, 11:31:00 PM »

Thought I mite show a few pictures of my shop, It's 18 wide 36 long and was not cleaned up for the pictures. It's heated and air conditioned so I can go out there when ever I like. there is also a 12 by 14
wood shop attached to the one end . I well show that at a later time.

That shop looks pretty deluxe.

Have you started work on the little Newholland you bought at NAMES?

Clean shop equals idle shop.

You've got a nice place there.

I'd hate to show my workshop. Yours looks well organized and clean enough for getting work done without having to dance around over piles of swarf! PS, were those pictures really from a year ago, or is your camera date off?  :atcomputer:

No I am not going to work on the New Holland for a while. I am currently redoing some of my models. They have run for so many years, that they need to be gone through and repainted.
The shop is 18 ft. wide by 36ft. long. I am thinking of downsizing my shop . I have gotten a Sherline Lathe and most of the attachments for it, and I got a Sherline mill with readout and a few attachments at NAMES this year.  Some time in the future I well just making small models and well use the Sherline tools  a lot more, than the big stuff. Here's a few more pictures.

Wow you really do have some big machines for model making. I think that you'll like the Sherline once you get used to it.  Are you planning on selling off some of you older machinery and making some more room?

Yes i'm going to start down sizing. I lost my wife a couple years ago and I have this big house and 5 acres in the country. I'm only living in part of the house along with 2 cats. I am going to find a smaller place. I not only have the house and shop, but also a big machine shed. The taxes are killing me
so small house with attached garage would be nice. Still looking, I would like to move out of Illinois, but all my friends and relatives are here so well probably stay in the area.
I have been building and collecting Model and full sized engines for 35 years or more. Still don't know if I well keep the big stuff or sell it all or part of off
depends on the room I have when I relocate.
