Harrogate Exhibition
« on: May 11, 2014, 10:33:19 AM »
Had a very good day at Harrogate yesterday, lots of engines on show.
I picked up my latest new addition to the family as well, he is going to be a new boyfriend for Agnes and his name is "Bradford" more on this later.

Meanwhile here are some general photo's at the show.

Thanks Phil looks like they put on a good show , Shame it is too far away for me. I also have to pace myself otherwise I buy too many castings  :LittleDevil:

And an Anzani Y engine  looks like one of Les's with the alloy cylinders  Mine will be as per proto type steel  ;D.

You keep telling me about this lovely fella that is coming to join your household still waiting for details  ;).

Hi Phil, thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Yes!   Thank you very much!   I love that beam engine, and what make is the model of the motorcycle engine?

The first engine photo is of the latest creation by a friend of mine called Mike Sayers, he is a leading light in the Pickering club.
The engine is a blower Bentley and I have no doubt it will win best in show when finished as did his previous one.
As a point of interest I made the supercharger gears for it on my Mikron hobbing machine.

The Vincent motorcycle engine was a work of art and also from the Pickering club, I hope to see it running in June.

Jason

It is that very one  :)

I am just about to go outside and look in all the boxes of stuff I picked up from Bob Potter yesterday, there are about six boxes full of the part finished engine, castings, patterns, part built generators etc etc.

Strangely enough I have just listened to a message on the phone from Bob telling me the article has just appeared, I suppose I had better go buy a copy.

Well done Phil . I tried getting the Uniflow drawings/castings from Bob as it had become a bit like pulling hens teeth so gave it up  :disappointed:.

I assume you have the book  ;) I reckon there is enough in there to make my own one day.
