No they are upright and that is an oil hole, the mounting holes are in the bottom of the block. Did most all of the inside work through the bottom of the bottle, very tight.

great thread, from casting up to finish, everything looks first class work, amazing.

how come you can stop the engine so rapidly as air is shut off ?
