Don,

Thanks for taking us through the build.  I've had the castings for ever.  I think I've been inspired....

Another well-built tool complete Don  :praise2:

You'll soon be running out of tools to build...  Errmmm, then again, maybe not; there's always something else needed...

Kind regards, Arnold
Building an engine takes Patience, Planning, Preparation and Machining.
Procrastination is nearly the same, but it precludes machining.
Thus, an engine will only be built once the procrastination stops and the machining begins!

Very nice Don. Excellent thread for us wanting to learn more.

I'm confused about 'tubular T nuts'. I see them in the picture...but why and how?

You know I'm picking on you. Darn nice piece. Now before you take off building an engine, there is still a Quorn grinder that can be built. As Dave says; "I'm just saying" :naughty:

No no my brother I am not going there. I have a tool grinder I bought from Northern tool work well.

Thanks Dave my brother and Dave Otto, Simon, Kim, Hugh for looking and your support.

Jo thanks for the photos and the tip, much appreciated.

Thanks Carl for your support and commenting. The tubular T NUT,S. Allow me to use a bigger stud or screws. It is tapped down to the base of the table. I milled the flats to fit the top and bottom slots of the table. The original T Nuts only allow me to use # 10 studs with the tubular ones I can use .25" studs. These can also be made as full studs with T heads to fit the slot.
