Mosey...pour a little faster...but not enough to dribble. Wait a bit.
Soon as the eyelids start to flutter...show him some duct tape. The silver kind.
Then blow in his ear (softly) and you'll be able to sell him anything.
If that doesn't work...waft some BBQ sauce under his nose. Doesn't matter if it's good or bad...you'll get a reaction.

You can try putting your arm around him...but if it's not timed right it could go really bad.
