Added flat belt pully to my Odds And Ends engine.

Added a flat belt pulley and a tapered hub mount today. Thinking of building something for it to power like a buzz saw. This was my first IC engine I built back about 25 years ago and is still a nice running engine.

Something like a power hacksaw would work ok, you can make one that uses a junor hacksaw blade, or part, or all of a full size blade.  You would just have to scale it to suit the motor.      Ian S C

Ian & Steve I'm still thinking saw kind of like my grand dad had that we hooked up to the old John Deere. I still have memories of that. I'm hoping some day to build a model John Deere A.

Doc--I have that same engine. It doesn't have enough power to run a small buzz saw---at least not one that will cut real wood. I did use it to run the sawmill that I built with a vertical reciprocating saw blade.--Brian

You will also need a much larger dia pully to work a buzz saw at a decent speed, look at the sizes on this Galloway cross cut saw, which will also reduce the mechanical advantage

When they get to that size its easier to make them from tube and fix to the spokes if you don't want a clutch
