Be of good cheer. Out here in LaLa land we've skipped spring and gone straight to summer. The photo shows my outdoor (top)/ indoor thermometer.

Just thought you would all want to know.

Marv: I'm sorry to hear about the weather change there. 85F is too hot to enjoy and I see you must have the AC on already. My condolences.

Here is was 68F and sunny today. Been about this way for over a week. Real nice here.

Now if we can only irrigate the fields and have water to drink this summer!

Great video Stan, thanks.

It's 27 here today and I don't know what you blokes are complaining about. Twenty seven is fine.

Oh yes, now I remember, you are still back in the last century. :stickpoke:

But please, please, get is over by Cabin Fever.

Jim,
You forget that we have 4 seasons here, and this one should be over.

OK. Marv might have a good case. This morning it's 33F with light snow. (but life is still good.)

Stan,

"I can't understand how anyone would want to live in that god-forsaken state of Pennsylvania." Yup, says it all. That's exactly how I felt back in '63 when I packed my bags and got out of there.

Hugh,

85 is quite pleasant when the humidity is 10%. We've had a long hard winter of sub-70 temperatures and getting the air back to skin temperature feels great.

Dave,

I woke up to someone shaking the bed this morning. Problem is, there wasn't anyone in the room. The quake was in Encino, about 30 miles from us, and at 4.4 magnitude was certainly perceptible but not frightening. We have little jolts like that every once in a while. They're a good thing. Releasing the energy in small jerks over a long period of time is, as you probably know, far preferable to saving it up for one big bang.

I see there is a warm spell coming on day 7 of the mid range forecast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkDvqQKGgDA

Yes it's a good bet that the East coast will be the latter and not the former!.....

Some say that earthquakes are messages from the Big Guy about unacceptable behavior, like making disparaging remarks about where someone else lives? Hmm? :stickpoke:

I checked with the His Holiness, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and he says you're correct unless the location in question is New Jersey, in which case it's perfectly acceptable. :mischief:

Well we missed the freezing rain and sleet. It's a balmy 38 right now with a good stiff breeze, but the sun is shining. Ahhh, to live in the land of fruit and nuts, if I ever get to the point that I don't believe in anything but myself, I might give it a try. Naw, I'd try the Caymans, not near as many kooks, freaks, weirdos, and pigeons 8)
