Be of good cheer. Out here in LaLa land we've skipped spring and gone straight to summer. The photo shows my outdoor (top)/ indoor thermometer.Just thought you would all want to know.
Here is was 68F and sunny today. Been about this way for over a week. Real nice here.Hugh
Stan,"I can't understand how anyone would want to live in that god-forsaken state of Pennsylvania." Yup, says it all. That's exactly how I felt back in '63 when I packed my bags and got out of there.Hugh,85 is quite pleasant when the humidity is 10%. We've had a long hard winter of sub-70 temperatures and getting the air back to skin temperature feels great.Dave,I woke up to someone shaking the bed this morning. Problem is, there wasn't anyone in the room. The quake was in Encino, about 30 miles from us, and at 4.4 magnitude was certainly perceptible but not frightening. We have little jolts like that every once in a while. They're a good thing. Releasing the energy in small jerks over a long period of time is, as you probably know, far preferable to saving it up for one big bang.
Some say that earthquakes are messages from the Big Guy about unacceptable behavior, like making disparaging remarks about where someone else lives? Hmm? Mosey
I see it's freezing in Boston, Philly and Allentown and a toasty 25 in Chicago.Just thought you would all want to know.
PS Eric, that's the land of Fruits and Nuts.
California certainly has the fruits and nuts market locked up. However, from what I've seen of this country, the weirdos seem to be fairly uniformly distributed with, perhaps, certain distinctive peaks in the neighborhoods surrounding metalworking fora.

Don't ever change Marv!!

Has it occured to you guys that when someone emigrates away from a State he hates, it benefits those left behind?
