ARTILLERY CANON

I guess you have notice that I haven't started or built a project lately. Thats not to say that I have been idle. Work had pickup back up and I have been running up and down the road with my wife as some of you already know. Anyway I had a small project on the side building one little piece at a time and this was a project I really wanted to do, it was very enjoyable. Thats not to say that it's complete, as I still need to mount it add a chain and canon balls to the mounting base.
One thing I find hard to photograph is shiny base. I tried blue, red,  black and settled on white. These photos were taken with my IPAD. There are not the best, but I am sure Stan could give some pointers as to how to go about doing it. One thing I know is you need very low lighting. Anyway here are the photos and hope you enjoy them.

Hi Arnold this was made from a kit I got from Grizzly. It's all bar stock and thanks for looking.
The turning I did by graving it with my quick change tool rest.

Eric my brother the cannon is actually three parts. No it wouldn't shot anything. 

Allan when I finish I will put something for size reference for you.

That's gorgeous Don.  Reminded me of my youth when I used to play with something similar that my father had made at the dockyard. Must look for it but I suspect it has been lost.
