Greetings from North Carolina
« on: July 26, 2012, 11:36:59 AM »
Hi all...I recognize many of the names from another forum so in a way its more like a homecoming than and intro. But for those that I haven't yet met, by day I work as a lab manager in the engineering technology department of a large urban univesity as well as teaching machine shop practices to a new generation of upcoming engineers. The rest of the time I spend designing and making small compressed air engines, working from the plans of others, and with recent ventures into the world of model IC engines. Currently I am working on a 1/4 scale Rider Ericcson from the casting kit by Clarence Myers.  Much of what I do is done on benchtop machines (Sherline) and when the need arises, I have access to larger full size mills and lathes at work. That's it in a nutshell.

Welcome on board Bill  :)

Kind regards, Arnold
Building an engine takes Patience, Planning, Preparation and Machining.
Procrastination is nearly the same, but it precludes machining.
Thus, an engine will only be built once the procrastination stops and the machining begins!
