« on: February 03, 2014, 09:00:32 PM »
hi all we all have had them them a noying oil cans that keep faling over well this is my tip on haw to solve the problem  you will need a lardg soldering iron or blwtorch a pant tin lid that the oil can fits in to dismantel the oil can and remove all the pant as you will be repanting it later get rid of any dents in the body once thats all dun kleen the botom of the oil can well and tin it ie solder the botom once thats dun get your tin lid the oil can wonts to fit in to the reses thats normaly on the inside of the tin ie the tin lid is pu side dawn it ant a problem if the oil can is not a good fit as you can center the can by looking at it kleen the lid and tin it to gnaw put the oil can on to the tin lid and heet them up till the solder melts then leev to cool and repant and put the lot back together it will never fall over a gane for the chaps that don't wont to remove the pant as the can may be in good order or have a macers trancfer on clen both lid and can with non a grsive solvent ie sumthing that wont atack the pant and use dubel sided tape to atach the lid to the botom of the can the type carpet fiters use is rely strong stuff right pics
