Alley Pally Model Engineering Show 2014
« on: January 18, 2014, 07:12:44 PM »
Another show  :naughty: .. I had the fortune to be escorted by two lovely  fellas for most of the day and one even took me home  :whoohoo: but sadly I did not find any casting sets at the show so I did not need to make the most of their muscles  There was only one engine that was irresistible and plans are a foot :mischief:.

Had a nice chat with Mike Chrisp the Ex Editor of the Model Engineer Magazine and learnt a lot about the terms and conditions  :hellno: they place of having articles published in the Mag today.

There were a few engines, but it was only a few... So these were them. This time I have tried to photograph not only the engine but where they had a description the cards as well.

Thank for taking the time to post the photos Jo, at least it saved me having to take many. The two of us obviously did a could job as you came out with almost as much in your purse as you arrived with, though I can't say what happened after we went our separate ways.

Now the real question is did you get back home with a piece (or two) of heaven?

Hey gal, hope you know I was having a little Friday after work fun on my last post. Great photos. I loved the Marcher. Seems you had fun and not many moths escaped the purse . Enjoy the night

Thank you for taking and sharing the photos, Jo! A couple of nice James Coombes engines there; I just acquired a casting set for that engine  :pinkelephant:

Not all of us can go to these shows but the least I can do is take a couple of snaps so that you can appreciate what was there. Sadly like all shows the Internet is taking over so the traders were thin on the ground. I would say the Midlands show is probably the best at the moment.

Having said that it looks like we (MEM) will be invited to have a stand at the GMES rally this year  :pinkelephant:

Now the real question is did you get back home with a piece (or two) of heaven?

Yes 8) Isn't it exciting  :cartwheel:.

Thanks Jo for the extra shots of that V8 BRM - going to to have to break out 'The saga of British Racing Motors' to check the cam cover script as it looks upside down - surely not?
