Vise stop
« on: January 01, 2014, 11:32:17 PM »
I've seen posts about vise stops and in the 25 years in the shop her is the most used stop in my tool box I remember making it close to 40 years ago and it is still my favorite vise stop. They are simple to make and once you have one made I'll bet it will become your favorite stop to.

On my mill in use.

Looking pretty good  for 40 years old Doc.  And I expect the homemade ones are far better than the ones currently coming out of the far east. I  have run into some of those where the threads were pitiful and they could barely be tightened to the vise jaw. It is a good, simple design I agree.

Hi Doc
Might make one of those myself, looks like a good idea. Be surprised if I get 40 years use out of it though
