Model Engine Making Book
« on: December 29, 2013, 12:29:04 PM »
A colleague from work had sent me this link before the Christmas break: http://www.leevalley.com/us/Garden/page.aspx?p=71390&cat=,71419&ap=1

As the description indicates, it's a rather old book but from a quick scan, still a nice one to add to the library and at $5.00 (plus in my case $6.99 in shipping) not a large outlay. There are no plans per se in the book, but lots of figures of various types of engines.

Thought I would pass the link along in case anyone else might be interested.

Cool Pat, so save yourself and others interested the $5.00 plus shipping. It is interesting to read thus far though, the language in particular is 1890's English...kind of refreshing actually in this day of tweets, and abbreviations of 3 letter words.  Thanks for posting the link!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for that very useful link.

Best Regards:  Baron.

Yes , thanks for the link. Particularly liked the description of building the marine oscillating engine.

Thanks for the pointer Bill!

Always love good reading material!  :D

So, would this be a good thread to have in the "Outside Links & Suggested Reading" section?
Is it possible for one of the moderators to move it there if it seems appropriate?

Thanks!
Kim

Duh, you're a moderator ::) I should have known that!  You can do anything you want with the thread!  :)

This will make it easier for me to find when I'm thinking "what was that good model engine book people were talking about awhile back?". This will be where I'd think to look!

Thanks Bill,
Kim
