Little Brother
« on: November 26, 2013, 02:03:29 PM »
Amongst my latest acquisitions I have acquired  :naughty: a set of castings for the air cooled little brother. For some reason the drawings only show this water cooled version  :headscratch:

Does anyone know if there is/ever was a drawing for the air cooled cylinder? As one did not come with it  :-\.

Hi Jo

When I get home from work today I will look through my prints to see what I have. I purchased my castings from a friend and can’t remember if I got prints with them or not.
I would think the air cooled cylinder would have all the same dimensions as the hopper version. It may have a pad for a cooling fan mount but I can’t remember for sure.

Jo, these folks are still offering the Little Brother in both water cooled and air cooled versions. I am not sure what the scale is but they may be of help with drawings, at least if the castings aren't too dissimilar.

You could have a word with your new Friends at Forrest as well.

If I were you I'd be asking the seller for some money back :LittleDevil: Or look at it as an ideal oppertunity to fabricate the water hopper and make the nicer looking of the two engines :cartwheel:

For Jo!

I didn't have an 11" X 17" scanner avaiable so I did it in chunks; let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks Dave

I have no idea where that drawing went but now I can make up the more unusual air cooled version of this engine ;) I already have two other water hopper hit and miss engines (plus the R&B which has a separate cooling tank).
