Just finished setting up my workshop here at the home I worked my whole life for.  I'm a retired a mfg eng. I've built a lot of things over the years but these little fire breathers are fascinating.  Last project was a Super Sterling Cycle Fan from plans by Jerry Howell.  Nice plans, good runner.  Now that i've got all my toys set up I can get back to work on my current project; I've got a half-scale Hasbrouck #5 about 30% finished. If it works out well, I'll try to build one in earnest for a proper steam launch.
Nice to find a collection of like-minded machine junkies.

Welcome wuzwiz!  I grew up in GA but now reside in NC. Still have family down your way though. Nice looking fan there!!  Will look forward to seeing more of your work.
