Campbeltown Steam Museum Open days
« on: October 26, 2013, 04:52:16 AM »
A few weeks ago Campbeltown Steam Museum had a two day weekend open got to go on the Saturday a nice weekend for LOML and I as it was our 38th anniversary. I went with her Sunday to a fete where her group demonstrated spinning.

A few images many of the fellows were at the other steam meet I posted also.

There were also some well built and restored music makers the sounds combined with the sounds of steam, clunk bang hiss chug chuff chuff was amazing.

Yes! Last time I was there (quite a few years back) it hosed down all day - must see if I can dig out the (paper) pics.
The older I get, the better I was.

The rain probably made it more like Campbeltown, Argyllshire.

I wish some rain had fallen that day Tel 35C by 2pm and dry as the Sunday was Total Fire Ban but I believe they were exempt as it was cooler till the winds hit at about 1pm.

Look forward to seeing the old pics they do have some on their website also see link in my reply to Jim.
