Hi All this is Antman again.

I've not been able to do much machining for a year now and my interests in machining have turned away from engines for the time being.  I owe a lot to my old friends like John Bogs,  Dave Steamer and George B (for sheer inspiration from his awesome models).  Zee and Arnold from Namibia started machining about the same time as me (Arnold somehow has the advantage in knowing what he's doing) and I've kind of paced myself by what they've been doing.
To the guys who don't know me,  I'm getting by quite nicely on my machines,  but none of it is engines,  so I guess I should learn to use a camera and post some pix,  meanwhile I'll just lurk.
O and I bought a new milling machine.  (My knackered old RF was a pain)
               Happy machining,
                   Ant

Yeah Hi I didn't know where you guys were.  What's happened to Ken from Cape Town.  Two of the brats live in CT and I'd love to be invited to his workshop to gawk at his things and be baffled by science.

Welcome Antman, glad you found us and MEM. So if you haven't been working on engines, what goodies have you been working on?

And I don't?  :lolb: Well you got it right.

Glad to see you again Ant.

Welcome Ant

Zee and Arnold from Namibia started machining about the same time as me (Arnold somehow has the advantage in knowing what he's doing) and I've kind of paced myself by what they've been doing.

:-[ Don't know where the misconception comes from that I know what I'm doing; I just pilfer advice from the rest of the great model engineers who supplied advice along the way and apply it...  But at least you should be able to keep up with Zee and myself; at the moment we're a bit slow!

Kind regards, Arnold
Building an engine takes Patience, Planning, Preparation and Machining.
Procrastination is nearly the same, but it precludes machining.
Thus, an engine will only be built once the procrastination stops and the machining begins!
