Hello from Portugal
« on: September 21, 2013, 10:02:11 AM »
Hi All,
Im British expat, moved to the Algarve to escape the British weather.
Retired now, but in my previous life was a toolmaker and later electronics engineer. Currently building a 3" scale Atkinson lorry, (90% done) and a Stuart twin Victoria (finishing touches to do) with my own added reversing gear.

Workshop wise I have two lathes, a 5" Boxford AUD and a Boxford ME10 which is fitted with the Boxford capstan unit, a Boxford shaper and a Tom Senior M1 mill. Since three phase supply is normal where I am converted everything to three phase.

I seem to take forever with my models as I am forever allowing myself to be diverted onto making some new tool or machine accessory, for which I blame forums such as this.

Regards Barry

Thanks for your welcome.

Jo - Not sure if my Atkinson still counts as 90% complete as I had to reduce it to smaller bits to pack it for the trip over to Portugal. Have only just started unpacking it for reassembly.
