Don From Pueblo Co.
« on: September 17, 2013, 05:39:01 AM »
Hi I am a retired John Deere mechanic & shop foreman 35 yrs. at it.

Self though home machinist I have a Bridgeport mill, 13 x 40 in. lathe, and a lot of other things that go with a shop. Once in a while i do repair for other people.

I have built several models i have

Red Wing water cooled
J & E Junior scratch built
J D 1/2 size of the 1 1/2 HP scratch build
Olds 1/4 scale
1/4 scale hot air eng.
Holt model  if you go to You Tub & search Holt model eng. you will find it, it is Red
I have 5 model steam eng. various makes.
I also built a 1903 replica horseless carriage that i use in parades & tractor shows, one show is at the Royal George & have driven across the bridge several times.  I am thinking about scratch building the Wyvern eng. i have been trying to make the helic gears for the side shaft. I made Chuck Fellows helic gear attachment and it works well, the hardest part is getting the right angles on the temp lets. Hope i didn't bore any of you  Thanks Don

Hi Don,
Ghee another Holt man. Welcome aboard. I'll go to Youtube and see if I can find it. Maybe you could post the link.
