a new member asking to notch the post
« on: July 23, 2012, 10:42:06 PM »
Hello everyone! I would like to introduce myself my name is Dale living in southeast central Michigan. I work in engineering for one of the big three auto manufactures. My love for making things started when I was young and couldn't afford to buy my toys but dad made sure i had plenty of hacksaw blades, drill bits and gentle advise. What a gift that  man gave me. I grew up, married and raised three kids to their independence. Then radio controlled airplanes were big, when a lathe and mill came along, metal looks a whole lot better machined than balsa wood! So the airplanes went away and model steam and model ic have become my current passion. currently I have five engines are on the shelf two in a state of construction. Hopefully I can offer some input to these pages as I will surely be absorbing all I can from you.  dale

Welcome Dale,

Don't give up on the BALSA WOOD... How's about a steam powered R/C plane?

Could be fun... Never tried one myself yet, but built plenty of R/C scale model aircraft in my earlier years.

Best Regards.

Sandy.
