What would you use this for ?
« on: August 30, 2013, 12:35:58 AM »
This was given to me in it's current state. It's missing all the drill attachments. Would you convert it into a small buffer ? Which is what I would like it to be. What do you think it's best use is?  I have a bench grinder.
 Thanx again,
 Dave

Buffer possibly though you might need a shaft extension...how about a dedicated drill sharpener. It already has a base where a sharpening fixiture could be attached.

+1 on drill/cutter grinder. Nice stable platform to add a grinding jig to. If you don't want it, I can give it a loving home...

PS: I'll even pick it up in October when I go to my family reunion in the Poconos.

How about using for a drill sharpener and buffer? In my dungeon it would see more use as a buffer. So which jig setup to make for it??
 Thanks again,

It would make a good drill sharpener! Here's a pic I found with the complete gizmology in place.

And you can get a manual here - http://www.lislecorp.com/download/files.cfm?category=3

Hi, after all those adjustments it had better make a goo job of sharpening the drill, or is that why they gave it away!

Well then, Tel... I guess the only part you got wrong was turning on the light!!

Right then...it's a buffer   now disassemble to figure out how it will become a buffer.

I'll buy new bits bebefore going thru all that. I don't use anything over 1/2".

Thanx again all,
   Dave
