Get behind me Satan! Sinking into LBA?

My Grayson looks very nice sitting on its movable bench with the flat belt drive, fast and loose pulleys etc etc.

I use it more for small jobs than I use my Drummond..

But now I see this Drummond...

... that  has a cross slide (introduced in 1908)!  There a few goodies with it too.  It is only a hours drive from here but he is asking NZ$300 (150 quid).  What is a poor pensioner to do? :o

Can't take it with ya.    It's a fatal disease and you won't get out alive....so have fun with it!

As Dave said, you can't take it with you. I believe I see another road trip in your future. Someone has to protect these oldies from the melting pot, might as well be you. :)

Cheers

If you're looking to be talked out of it, then you're in the wrong place!

Cheers, Hugh.

Yes, about 1908.  I have the legs and the other lathe has legs too but there is no sign of the flywheel or treadle with either.
