I know about the pain. I had to wait 9 months to remove mine. I the hospital for 3 days but left as good as new. The laparoscopy surgery left me with 4 little holes but removed the source of the problem, a 9,5cm gallbladder with a 5,5cm rock and full of sludge.
Few months later, full recovery, no pills to take and no food restrictions and best of all........ no more pain. Those who suffered know how bad it is.

Arbalest, get well soon my friend.

That is exactly what the docs told me, sludge !!
I got acute pancreatitis and spent a week in the hospital 2 weeks ago.
I'm now waiting to have my gall bladder removed (see the consultant on the 20th).
In the meantime my house looks like the inside of a dangerous drugs box and I'm not able to do anything in my shed.
Apparently Morphine and Machinery don't go very well together.

How long did it take after the op for you to feel better Noitoen?

Best Chris

After the surgery, the only pain I had, was my arms. It seems that they tried to rip them off. After a few days I was good and a couple of weeks later, I was back to work. Took it easy with physical jobs till the doc said it was ok.

Had a MRCP last Tuesday and the surgeon phoned today (Sunday) to say my bile duct is now clear so just waiting to hear when they can fit me in for surgery. Meanwhile the house move is still on schedule for this coming Wednesday! Workshop looks like a "tidy bomb" (whatever that is!) has hit it.  :naughty:

Have'nt heard from Chris. My op was done on the 22nd and my wounds seem to be healing nicely. Still a little sore but much more comfortable than I was. Check up with the surgeon is on 25th September. He did say my gall bladder was inflamed as I was coming round in post op and gave me a bottle with what looked like two tiny black meteorites!

Vic.
