3C collet stop
« on: July 12, 2013, 01:56:01 AM »
I've been rooting around the internet trying to find a collet stop to fit 3C collets.     This will be used on my newly rebuilt South-bend 9A.

Well I found an example made by a man by the name of Barry  ( who goes by the handle Saxalby on the Model Engineer forum)....and was very intrigued!

....I made a sketch of something workable based on the photograph...and I'll get to it shortly....I have a couple of chucks to fit first.  Anybody else make one of these?

Here's the sketch of Barry's design that I put together in my note book.

After I get my chucks fitted though....
