Hi,
Some times all you need is a small spring and you have run out of ball point pens to destroy, so here is a link to a video on 'how to'

I thought it was worth sharing  :)

When it comes to determining mandrel size, Marv has a program in his freeware that can help determine mandrel diameter based on spring wire size, ID of spring, etc.  I have used it several times and it gives good results. As i recall its called of all things...."Mandrel"

Another way to determine mandrel size is to simply look it up in MACHINERYS HANDBOOK. There is a table with lots of sizes.

You do have a handbook, dont you? ;D
