Another Webster
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:25:38 PM »
I'm trying to slowly banging metal to assemble another Webster engine. One piece at a time, and it's not much to show. But something.
I've assembled a Minimag magneto, works well, and there's a robust spark running at 200 rpm. I've also "assembled" Jan Ridders' "Blokker" spark ignitor, assembly - it's three components that will be removed, and one cap, one 1 Mohm resistor and a microswitch, to solder. And it's Blokker sparks worked excellently. And small, one AA battery and one PCB, 60 x 20 x 18.5 mm!
I've also built Ridder's gas tank/carburetor, in fact I have built 2 tanks, and I need one another. Webster's own proper gas tank is really small, I'm dubious if the Ridders' vapour carb will work. We'll see.  :smokin2:
