Yeah, pretty much all of that around here - on a daily basis.

Think of him as up to 40 pounds of really pissed off pruning shears.......and those are the mild mannered ones!....I poked at one when I was a kid with a 1" pine bow....he sheared it off like it was a number 2 pencil!.... :o

His neck is long enough to reach his butt...and they're quick!...so you pick them up by the tail...or not at all.....finding one with your foot while swimming in a local lake can case severe pucker factor!

Skunks...once you get past the violent vomiting from the stench...are really just a nuisance.

The dogs only mess with them once...if they're smart dogs. :LittleDevil:

They will only spray ya if your trying to hurt them...if you just stand quiet, and leave the alone...they'll do likewise.

Well...seperate your dog from one...on the front porch one summer night...and let me know.

I promise you will be wretching....

Actually...I'd rather deal with the snapping turtle...

Good thing is Skunks are very timid and not agressive....just as soon leave as squirt.

Difficult here, marsupials just aren't the same league. But should one of our dogs ever tangle with what might be a might be a skunk, I'll send a sample to you for confirmation!

I wish I could describe the smell...but once you smell it...you don't forget it.

The active ingredients include sulphurous mercaptans.  It's not by accident that similar chemicals are used in natural gas to alert you to leaks.  Black bears weighing 300 lbs or so will go out of their way to avoid a 3 lb skunk.

Don't ever hit one with your car.  In fact, don't drive over one that's been hit by someone else's car.  DAMHIKT.
