ebay orphans brought back to life

Thought i would start a thread about my finds on ebay.
Engines that i have bought and restored back to working condition.

I really enjoy doing this type of work!

Up first is a Stuart S50 in pretty bad shape.
Take not of the way the lubricator is placed...








I still have the boiler and have not yet tries it out. Not too sure if it is safe or not...

After a total strip down, paint removal and repaint it is a beauty!






It can easily be run of the air from your lungs which amazes people at shows.

Next up is a PM Research engine.
Unfortunately i did not take before pics...
It did not run and was all painted an odd brown colour when it arrived.
After a strip and clean i decided it did not need to be painted and was quite nice as it was.

Found this awesome little guy locally and it is one of my favourites.
Made in Ontario, Canada which is really cool!
They are getting harder to find these days.

Another PM Research engine.
Took a while to get this guy going but after a lot of help it roared into life!

Another one i like to run because of the sound it makes.

As it arrived, dirty and missing a few vital bits!

i just amazes me how diverse this hobby and website is.
one minute i am looking at a neat little gas engine model then i see finger engines and so on and so on............life is good

At the moment i find it easier to restore engines than to build one from the ground up.
Every engine that works again has taught me something new.
And with a lot of help from everyone here it makes the work even easier!

David, i have another flame licker in the cupboard that has me beat....
I will pick it up again one day, although i think it needs some serious modding to get it functional again.
