Hey Jo,

I'm sure you have a small mill and or shaper which you could lug over and have another nice long tete-a-tete with the Mayor next year >:D

Best Regards
Bob

Yeah....a mill....with a nice flycutter....cutting mild steel....with a good spindle speed.....yep that oughta do it!....couple of hot chips down the Mayor's shirt..... >:D

I have my Adept No 1 shaper that could be used but the problem is that it is going to be a bit difficult to put on a demonstration as the shaper is between the work and the public. And our show benches are fairly sturdy but with me pumping away on the handle things are going to start wobbling all over the place  :o

So maybe it is best not done in public   :ShakeHead:

Jo

The only thing I would add would be a work camera, with an overhead monitor or monitors.   That way the crowd could be bigger and everyone could see....

Be careful of where the camera is pointing!.... 8)

Another update: We had the rally wash up meeting and my lathe demonstration went down so well that they are hoping to do something different next year  :(

:noidea: I wonder if it was me telling those tales to the Mayor

Jo

No, its the fact that you did such a good job of promoting this forum that it put off people from joining the club and made them join in the fun here instead ;)

Look on the bright side if they don't want you chained to your demo table next year it gives you all the time in the world to endulge in your casting and tool addiction :pinkelephant: :cartwheel:
