Almost clair voyant?

9 hours ago the news broke that Vienna opera director collapsed during  the first act of Wagner's Parsival

Franz Welser-Moest- to be more precise

After 4 and a bit hours, I might have joined him :lolb:

i listen to what ever station i can get in my little shop.
i tried listening to shortwave but i found myself fiddling with tuning of the stations and i was not getting any work done.
so now i just listen to what ever is on.

Not to worry Norm, the chap just had a little spell of lumbago-itis. I recall our chaps having a spot of the same as we entered that little country in Southeast Asia, know as Viet Nam. Dreadful humidity, couldn't keep the damn Decker from the rust. Ruck for a FNG weighed 90 pounds, at DEROS, maybe 25 pounds.perhaps the old boy just needs to clean out his ruck if he's " marching for 4+ hours"

Bluegrass, Country Western.  Once in a while I'll plug in a CD. I also like Cowboy Western, like the old cowboy songs. But I keep the volume down a bit. Running machines make just enough noise to block out the radio so it is not so much of a distraction.

Whilst most of us actually need three wires as opposed to the American two to create music, a few of us do have an ear for music somewhat better than Van Gogh.

The odd- very odd, were known to come out of Sam Ash's in NY with a sop. sax.

I think that the funniest recollection was a 'bringing culture to the natives' during our Boston visit. There was this Faneuil Hall thing with  an old toothless wonder with his empty jaw packed with cotton wool and - a Masonic apron
There was a rumour that he and some of his mates had come out of a lodge meeting - got kitted up in Red Indian costume and chucked tea into the harbour.

After that- and Dan Brown, people think that the Brits will believe anything.

And some of us are glad we can't.  [No offense to our English friends who manage to write clearly.]

I see that Norman has unveiled the dreaded Masonic apron.  We're in for it now.

Just need the endless veiled references to WWII, George Thomas and tool and cutter grinders to have it all.
