Lovely work Kim and nice pics especially the component layout.
It isn't until you lay it out like that that you realise just how much work has gone in.

Good luck with the assembly - I'm looking forward to seeing it run too - I just may be following in your footsteps ;)

Regards - Ramon

After about 14 months, I've finally completed my Marine Twin Steam engine!  :cartwheel:  It's been quite a fun build for me, and I've learned a lot!  Thanks for all the support everyone! We all know there's NO WAY I could have completed this build anywhere nearly as well without the help, input, and encouragement from all of you.  Thank YOU! :praise2:

Here's my final shot for this build thread showing the completed engine, with base.

I've posted several more beauty shots, and video in the Showcase section of the forum, so please go take a look!

Thanks again for all the help!  I couldn't have done it without you!
Kim

On to my next project! :)

Kim:

That is a beautiful engine. I'm fooled by it's size until I see your hand next to it. Thank you for posting the build, I've enjoyed the ride.

Great job!

Dude, that's the sh$$t. Kim, beautiful. Sure you don't want to build or buy a hull to stick it in? My hats off to you old buddy.

Thanks Hugh and Eric,
I'm pretty chuffed about it :)

Yeah, it was small!  Lots of the pictures in the build had a little ruler next to them, but that only does so much.  When you see someone's hand next to their model, that's when you really get a sense of size!

Thanks,
Kim

I been watching your build all along, you made a great job! its a beautiful engine!

Thanks for sharing your experience! many many ideas can come seeing someone personal style of machining and how the pieces are made, and you will never get bored reviewing a very detailed build post like this one.

Congratulations!!  :praise2:

Fantastic Kim. I love the base too. that is some nice end grain too!!  Something about the warmth and mellowness of wood just goes well with the "coldness" of the metallic parts. I love it....off to see more in the showcase section now!!

Thanks FLG and Bill,
Bill, I really appreciate the support all the way through the build!

Glad you found it interesting FLG.  I think the best parts of the whole log are the excellent suggestions and advice I got from all the members of this forum!

Thanks,
Kim
