Here is some more pics of the engine.
Have make the sides of the crankcase.
And mount the camshaft and start making the valve cover, alot of chips of that.
Now I have Ignition ,sparkplugs and all that needed just need time
One pic shouldn´t be there on a board from a TIG that exploded on my work

Did the holder for the distributor yeasterday. It was a bit tricky to get the right play in the gears but now it works.

I love it Ove!    How do you like that method of crankshaft making?

Oh :embarassed: thanks guys.
This have been a very funny build and easyer than thougt because I dont use any drawings more than for crank
and cam. The rest I only do so it fits by the way.
Steamer, I dont know how strong such an crankshaft is but I like the way doing it its easyer than turning.
Maked an oilpan today to. I have to make a plate in both ends to seal it later and the aft one  will carrie
a second ballbearing.

Begin with the valves a bit and lazy as I am and know it´s not easy to turn them and take a lot of time I decided to
try make them of 4mm stainless steelrod and turn the bigger part and drill and ream and at last weld it to the rod.
Tonight I welded and faced all 12 and the was hard but it worked.
After welding the hardened a lot but that is not bad if I can machine them .
Welded fast with stainless pin, tryed first with my cheap TIG but it get hot as hell so with ordinary pinweld on 60 amp fast around
the hole it went pretty good.

I dont think it would be much done on this motor now in the summer but I want to buy
sparkcables before I try making some distributor.
Anyone who know where I can buy them i Europe in some suitible dimension? 4-5mm??

Hi Ove.
Maybee as easy like using probe leads from a multimeter. :noidea:
I am realy impressed of your work on the inline six.
I have been doing little or nothing in the shop this winter due to my fulltime job, on the road 4 long days every weak,
And I'm not a youngster anymore , its not that I'm not trying   :embarassed:
But I have managed to finish the kickstarter on the Hoglett. It works wery well and when I bring it with me to the hardware stores and fires it up I get "big" discount on tools/fasteners :whoohoo:

Hi Bård!!
"Maybee as easy like using probe leads from a multimeter"
I dont know whats the different betvin sparkcables or ordinary cables but i know that sparkcables
always has a very tiny core and a big shell. I will look at these probeleads Bård.

Like the way you collect discount
Ove
