Funny guy!....

Yup....suck it up is the order  of the day.....My neighbors are elderly...so I end up clearing about 3 yards...not one....good thing I have the snow blower...

Dave

When I had the lawn tractor with the plow I did 5 houses. One had a circle drive so that one was easy. Now the younger crowd has replaced the older crowd but I still clear my own. Crap!

YOU're spell checking ME?!  That's hilarious.

Marv

Na, I wouldn't run the spell checker on you, I'll leave that for Dave. I was running the spell checker over my attempt at composing several sentences. Since that was part of the quote in the message it naturally picked up on it.

As Jo said, at one time things were quite different between you and your ex. I don't care much for my ex either but without her I wouldn't have the 2 wonderfull children, the 4 lovely grand daughters and the 1 great grand daughter that is a bundle of joy in my life.  :LittleAngel:

Cheers

I'm on the edge of the 2 feet plus. Had a few medical issues and can't shovel snow anymore so I bought my wife a nice big snow-blower.  Damned thing is noisy when it runs (not the snow blower!)

Sorry, Don.  I got my D's confused.  A mind is a terrible thing to lose.

I am so glad I hired a guy to plow my driveway. We had a snowstorm dump 14" overnight in December, and it made me all warm and cosy to be drinking my cuppa while watching someone else drive up and down clearing the path between house and workshop.

Other than that one, this year snow fall has been relatively light here.
Stuart

Forging ahead regardless.

Not fun indeed . I remember the blizzard of 78 dumped lots in NJ. At least is is not on Valentines/ Nemes show weekend. I have driven home in similar weather. looks like my area will only get a dusting.

We had 44 inches in 78.  The only saving grace was the owner of a liqueur store 1/2 mile down the street got snowed in and kept the store open for the week we couldn't drive (driving ban for 7 days.) Made shoveling just a bit easier.

Best of luck to you all. Two weeks ago it was 43C, last weekend we were flooded in by the river at the bottom of our hill. I am so pleased we don't get blizzards!

Keep warm, Hugh.

Nope....no floods usually...but I live up fairly high.

I'll get the generator parked in its usual spot and make sure the boat cover is tight.

Thanks for the well wishes!   Best of luck to you where ever you are!

Well.... Now I'm in the 8-12" zone with localized higher totals (my section of the county).  There's also a chance for ice and freezing rain.  Yippee!

We are sure to get hit with over a foot.  I went to start my plow (1965 Jeep CJ5A, $300.00 junkyard save) and the starter wouldn't spin.  I removed it, took it apart and cleaned the brushes.  It works again, but hopefully it will work Saturday after this is all over.  I really don't want to pull it out laying in the snow.

The Jeep also had two flat tires and my air compressor's regulator was frozen causing the safety valve to pop.  Thank God I still have a 100 watt light bulb that I could thaw it out with.

At least the generator started without any problems.

Those of you who live where it's warm have the right idea.  I use to love this stuff; now I absolutely hate it.
