Yeah, same one. Barstock came with the kit, but, I have more. All my dimensions are all so good except this one. Bolt holes that I was spotting were for the oil pan, so, that's an easy. Make the pan to fit. If the crank is centered in block and the con rod length don't change, then all I have to do is keep clearance at TDC the same is what I'm thinking. It is a jug/head type. Supper ready.
I'll be back now ya hea. Ok 15hr day and full belly sent me to bed,so, now I'm back. I know I could scrap it,but I still have 4 holes for the jugs, crank bearing holes, and a bunch of holes to tap,so, there still plenty chances for more uh-ohs. I kinda thought I'd continue on with this one for the different operations practice. But, just by some miracle what if all else in my practice session went well. Will adding the .050 to the jugs on each side make up for the .100 deficit in my crankcase width. Whew all this and no joking around, killing me. But, really folks I would like your input

Eric, I was looking at the pictures on the LIney site and even in their photos it appears that there are a couple of different ways of attaching the cylinders to the crankcase, one picture shows square flanges for attachment, another doesn't show these at all. So its hard to tell much without looking at the plans. What you propose should work if you can lengthen the cylinder by the .050". Ultimately it comes sown to what you will be happy with. You are right though...there are a lot of holes in that crankcase!!

I'm struggling to know what you're talking about. And it's not the accent.  ;D

Zee, I had just ask Steamer if he thought my RightGard had turned left :lolb:
If you look at the Liney Machine website you can see the RV2, I would attach, but, I do good to add piccys.
I just made the crankcase .100 to narrow and wanted to make the correction in stroke back up in cylinder length instead of remaking the crankcase. There are so many places left on the crankcase for me to screw-up, that I wanted to see if I could use one of my official MEM saves; issued for each and every par-tiss-e- pating members. I know I'm gonna need 'em,so, thought I'd see if they worked.

Ok, here's a couple of Sundays worth of work. Had to get started again after Cabin Fever.

Hogged out crankcase and drilled and tapped 2-56 holes for oil pan.

Spotting holes for valve body and cylinder retaining bolts. Bored holes for cylinders and forgot pics, but, you can see 'em

Valve body knocked out of some brass and mounting and intake holes drilled.

And here they are sitting happily together. Had a good day.

Thanks for watching and all Y'alls help

Thanks Zee and Dave for dropping in.
Dave, the vise seems to be fine for the money, a Kurt it ain't ; but neither am I. I bought a 6" first and it was really too big, so, now I use it on the bench and the 4" on the mill.

So you're not just a pretty face.   :mischief:

Nice parts, Eric.  I'm looking forward to seeing the finished engine.  Keep up the good work.

Well I guess you saw my photo with BLindsey at Cabin Fever. Whilst I am extremely handsome and have a certain allure to some, I am really just a metal butcher like the rest. You know it's funny, I never have a bit of problem using my good looks and charm to persuade most people, it has not the least effect on a chunk of Ali. I used every smooth line I knew while hogging out that crankcase and it slapped me with a couple of chipped end mills and left me to clean up the mess. :lolb: :lolb: :LittleDevil: :LittleDevil: :lolb:
