The passing of a very close friend
« on: January 21, 2013, 09:22:12 AM »
I have the very sad news to convey to the members on here of the passing of one off us.

I know a close friend to a lot of other members and myself as well.

Peter Henshaw, also known as HS93 sadly passed away yesterday from one of the many illnesses he has been suffering from for many years.

Always quick to show his Scouse wit, Peter could have you laughing in no time, and I just hope that wherever he ends up, he will have them laughing as well.

A very saddened John

Oh, dear!

I thought he'd been quiet recently.......

Loved his writing, his pm's, and meeting him, regularly at Harrogate.

So sorry to hear of his passing.

Hi John,
My condolences too on losing a good friend.

I didn't know him nor indeed of him but I can empathise as I too last a good friend this past year. An ex work colleague and fellow model engineer he had little time in which to enjoy his retirement.

Every day we have is a blessing.

Regards - Ramon

I too met Peter at Harrogate in 2011 and had a long and pleasant chat with him. Also a number of long and pleasant chats (you never had a short chat with Peter) on Skype. I last spoke with him while he has in hospital just before xmas when he described his situation in his customary matter-of-fact way.

I shall miss him.

My condolences to the friends and relatives of peter.
May I also suggest that the admins here set up a a "In Memoriam " sub group and attach that label to his profile . that way he can be remembered when folks read his posts.
