Hello All: A few comments were made about the model engine carrying case I had on the models I have shown here lead me to show a few pictures about what I tried to accomplish . The case was to protect my models for transport while we were on vacations to show my Father what I was working on while he was restoring full sized antique farm engines. The case is 17.5" x 12" x 9"/
The one end is on hinges that allow dropping the end and seeing the engine mounted inside the case ready for removal.
Remove the top and flip over and slide the lid back on and hook up the ignition and ground wire. The battery, coil and condenser are mounted inside the case securely. Oil (seen where the battery normally would be) and a few tools may also be carried in the case. I do not normally carry fuel inside our vehicle.
The case will accept any small enough model mounted on the appropriate size "lid" for a protected transport to a desired location.
This also keeps the model clean when stored until the next outing. I must admit that I debated about mounting my other engine on the opposite side of the lid but then the "protection" factor would be lost. Thank you for looking at my feeble attempts at woodworking.----don
