compact 8 deviding head

hi all this is rather a long post so Bear with me after a search on the net i did not find Wat i needed so i deiced my own on my lathe their is a gear wheel behind the mane drive pulley this is for the drive for screw cutting i had a worm drive that fitted so that was me starting point i had the shaft that the worm came from so i made the shaft shorter and moved the worm further up the shaft i then made the top and bottom bush for the shaft to run in then fitted them in to the outer tube i did not mack this this cam from a mug tree right pics

right next part was to mack the dividing plate this is made from 100mm DI stainless steel which i sawed a lump of then turned it up you will get the just by the pics as i made this sum time a go so i don't have the dimensions at hand and its too cold to sit in the work shop and mesher things up  i set one of the 4 fixing screws off so that the plate will only go on one way i then divided the plat up and drilled the holes for the detente right pics if you have any question's just ask

right i mad up the bracket to fix it to the lathe out of-sum 4mm steel plate then the worm drive was silver soldered to it i made the bracket to hold the detente out of sum 8mm stock then put the lot together  pics

Great project Bob, you are getting like me, making bits and pieces to help yourself in the shop.

I must take this opportunity to congratulate you on your progress to a full recovery. I remember when hardly anyone could understand what you wrote, but now, it is getting much better and easier to understand, a truly massive improvement.

Keep up the good work mate, you'll get there in the end.

Nice work Bob, looks some what like my Hemingway Dividing attachment kit. I haven't had time to start machining it yet, but it attaches to the bull gear like yours.

thanks all for the comments hi john yep i have improved  with my spelling as you remember that was one of the reasons for joining the forums to help my recovery and it has
