Phil Duclos’ Little Blazer
« on: December 01, 2022, 02:40:30 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I just completed my version of the Little Blazer. I built it pretty much to plan and used cast iron for the cylinder and piston. After some good runs it became very fickle. But some lapping of the cylinder and piston seems to have taken care of that. It could still use some clean up and some details taken care of, but knowing me I won’t get to them. I’m really pleased as I didn’t expect it to run, but run it does!! Enjoy!

Peter

Pete when you insert a video if you use the little Youtube icon on the forum's toolbar you will get the correct html code for it to work  here ;)

Thanks for pointing that out Pete.

There are now two Utube ones :headscratch: and there is also a Vimeo one. I wonder if that works

...

The first Youtube one works and I have removed the one that doesn't  ;)

This little flame gulper runs very well, congratulations !
with cast iron parts, you have to be very careful with corrosion after each run...
the combustion of alcool produces water, which condenses on cooling inside the cylinder.
