LBSC Duplex Feed pump
« on: December 06, 2012, 06:01:51 PM »
Last night I acquired another set of castings  ;), They claim to be for the LBSC Duplex Feed Pump, I don't know what one looks like :-\ does anyone else?

This is what I got for my pennies:

A stick of castings. And a set of drawings from a company that went out of business long before I was born:

I have no idea what I am going to do with it. It is potentially another demonstration piece that I could use when I give my turning demonstrations on the Cowells. I don't really want to use it as spare gunmetal if it is of use.

Here's a horizontal

Here's a vertical

http://www.chaski.org/homemachinist/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=94243

Supposedly the vertical is a drawing of LBSC's 3/4"  pump

You could ask GLR, they took over the Kennion's stuff and still sell that stick of castings.

That is the one. Looks like I got it at a good price. Still no photo's of what it looks like. I found a post by Stew that mentioned it looked interesting and can be found in "shop, shed and road" - I haven't got that book...

I think this is the one you have, the build feature of this pump is in  The Live Steam Book by LBSC

It is looking better and better. It would seem I have three years worth of models to make using the Cowells at my lathe demonstrations.
