CMD10 Milling machine
« on: May 10, 2021, 04:21:21 PM »
The motor on my Clarkes CMD10 milling machine recently failed. I purchased a new one but it only ran at full speed, which was due to a fault on the PCB according to Clarkes (apparently this is a common problem when the motor blows). Machine Mart did not have one in stock and were not sure when they would receive a shipment of them (the price quoted was more than the cost of the motor)
Fortunately I managed to find a company called Just Electronics Ltd in Wallington, Surrey (www.justelex.com - 020 8241 6959) where my problem was dealt with by a very helpful chap called Andy Hall. I delivered the faulty PCB to them by hand and it was ready for collection the following week at a fraction of the cost of a new board. The machine now works as it should. I thoroughly recommend trying Just Electronics for any similar type of problem.
